Where is home for you? French born Yoga Teacher Maud Léger, like many of us, had been searching for the answer to that question for many lonesome years until she realised home was always with her: in the body.

In this comprehensive workshop, together with Maud and Health Practitioner and Ayurveda Expert Tegan Wallis from Veda Wellness, you will understand how to listen closer to your body´s wisdom and learn how to fulfil your specific needs with Yoga. You will develop your own unique holistic home practice.

You will learn how to incorporate your Yoga in your busy life, create your own flows to suit your needs and correct particular imbalances (wake-up, energise, pre-sleep…) but also enhance your health with Ayurveda, and influence your energy levels with mindfulness and pranayama.

This workshop is open to all levels of practice. Please bring a note book and a pen.

Maud Leger

For Maud, Yoga is an essential life-long practice that maximises our potential, helping us to find and to understand the truth of who we are.

She believes in a continuous and holistic practice that incorporates:

  • Embodied movement (Asanas)
  • Meditation
  • Breath (Pranayama)
  • Ayurveda (ancient holistic medicine, encompassing Nutrition, Mind and Lifestyle)
  • Self-enquiry (Svadhyaya)

Maud teach Asana, Pranayama and Meditation to allow people to feel connected to their essence. With a lifelong passion for movement, she interested in the physical practice of Yoga and the effect of Asana and Pranayama on the body, mind and movement of energies. She also practises Transcendental Meditation, and firmly believe in its healing and transformative power.

Maud first trained in Iyengar Yoga in Paris with Alex Onfroy (2010-2012) before relocating to Melbourne and completing my 200hr YTT certification in Vinyasa Yoga at Power Living Australia (2014), with internationally acclaimed teachers Cassie Lee and Chris Wilson.

Maud is constantly learning from her students, her teachers and her own body. Her teaching is continuously influenced by Modern Yogis like Rod Stryker, Meghan Currie, Dice Iida-Klein as well as Iyengar Yoga Master Usha Devi.

 

Tegan Wallis 

Tegan is a qualified holistic health practitioner (BHSc). She specialises in Ayurvedic Medicine, Naturopathy, Holistic Nutrition and Herbal Medicine, and is also a RTY 200 Hour Certified Yoga Teacher.

Tegan has studied Ayurvedic Medicine under world-renowned Ayurvedic doctor Dr Smita Naram, based in Ayushakti Ayurveda in Mumbai, India. Her training with Dr Smita has been ongoing, including clinical experience in Ayurvedic consultations, Panchakarma therapy and Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis. Additionally, she has furthered her studies in Ayurveda, Yoga and Meditation under Dr David Frawley from the American Institute of Vedic studies.

Tegan completed her 200 Hour YTT with Awakened Life School of Yoga in Bali, where she trained in Vinyasa Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, Mindfulness, Yogic philosophy, Yoga Nidra, Mantra, and Yoga Anatomy and Physiology. She passionately intertwines Yogic and Ayurvedic Philosophy into her classes, fusing both of these ancient sister sciences in a way that is both practical and fun. Tegan’s classes introduce students to traditional yoga postures, yogic breathing techniques and guided relaxation, and are delivered to synchronise movement with breath, inducing meditative flow.

Tegan’s work combines ancient mind/body medicine with the fruits of modern medical research, offering her clients practical advice for achieving health, happiness and vibrancy. Tegan is passionate about sharing the body of knowledge she has built up over her years of study, supporting others on their own journey to health and happiness.
